Watchthis video shows what we put into the mirrors (foam blocks). we used the saw to cut the blocks into all sorts of shapes as you will see in this video.

How we feel about the project!
The mirror project is very creative and it inspires me to do more art work and maybe creating a sculpture like it.. I think that the class are enjoying making the sculpture and it is interesting to work with different year groups. We have also enjoyed the planning phases and looking forward to recording the rest of the project!
inspiration for the piece
we got the inspiration for this project from an artist called yayoi kusama who creates sculptures like we are doing now. she is a japanese artist whose paints, creates collages and does performing arts. she has even sold a painting for over 5.1 million dollars a record for a female artist.
what our group is doing
The Tallis lab group have been asked to produce a group sculpture to be shown during the end of term art week. it has been decided that we collectively put objects into a reflective space with mirrors on three sides creating this fantastic “Tadis” like effect. The mirrors are made of acrylic and backed with wood - it will create a four foot square cube which is quite large. we...
